Mission Statement

The CSJ Learning Connection for Adult Education is a private, non-profit educational program sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph in Brentwood, NY. In keeping with the Congregation's mission to foster nurturing, inclusive love, unity, reconciliation, justice, and peace.

The Learning Connection aims to provide the tools for the empowerment of women who are undereducated or speak languages other than English.

The program focuses on English as a New Language and basic literacy. In a multicultural, non-competitive setting, participants follow the course of study suited to their needs, abilities, and personal goals.

Our Vision

Our vision is to create a welcoming and inclusive learning community where women of all backgrounds - especially those who have had limited access to education - are empowered through learning to reach their fullest potential.

We strive to foster confidence, independence, and connection by providing the tools and support needed for personal growth and community contribution. Through compassion, respect, and opportunity, we envision a world where every woman, regardless of her starting point, can have an equal chance in life and the opportunity to build a brighter future for herself and others.
